About the Book
Out of Tolerance is a work of thoughtful hard science fiction exploring justice systems, a utopian-like society, and what happens when a system is designed to eliminate human error. Framed through a decades-long investigation into a mysterious survivor found in a New Mexico storm, the novel reveals a future where judgment is delivered by machines designed never to be wrong — and where one man’s survival leads to discoveries humanity was never meant to make.

From the book:

“History remembers,” he told me once.

“Especially when someone tries to change it.”

And history, he knew, did not forgive interference.

In the past, when I shared fragments of this account, certain agents in black suits and sunglasses appeared at my relatives’ homes and asked polite questions. I had already instructed my family to deny everything — to say that I had made the whole thing up.

     They did.

The physical evidence exists. It was given to me intentionally and is kept in a place chosen more carefully than where I store anything of monetary value. I was made to promise that I would not tell this story until twenty years after the death of the man at its center.

     He died in 1996.

I have been considering how to share his story ever since.

I met a time traveler when I was young. That was not his profession. He did it once. That was enough.

What he told me was unbelievable. What he gave me left no room for doubt. Everything he said would happen has happened so far — even now, decades later. That is the burden of this story. It does not ask to be believed. It merely waits.

Out of Tolerance is available in paperback and Kindle on Amazon.
