From speculative fiction to a practical field guide, my work explores how structure shapes outcomes: how intelligent machines fail, how rivers move gold, and what happens when a society removes error from its design.

I am very close to launching the Out of Tolerance Series!

My first novel, Out of Tolerance, has been revised for this series. No changes to the story, characters, or narrative. I just cleaned up the prose, corrected errors, and improved the continuity. The story follows a flight mechanic who discovers that perfect systems are anything but. His story reveals something about humanity's past... and future. 
 

The second book in the series, Samaria, shows what it was like to live in the city of Phoenecia. The ancient city regulates every aspect of human life. People are engineered for their roles. Careers are assigned. Resources are distributed according to need. Even the population's future is carefully planned. It works, but is that enough?

My nonfiction titles:
 

Gold Prospecting: A Practical Field Guide grows out of time spent studying the natural systems that shape rivers and landscapes. Rivers operate within constraints and follow physical laws. When you understand those processes, the patterns prospectors rely on begin to make sense. This guide explains those patterns in plain language and shows how to read rivers and recognize productive ground. Includes diagrams and photos from over a decade of fieldwork notes.
